Preston Village Cricket Club - About Us

The Village People

Since 1990, Preston Village Cricket Club has represented Prestonpans sport during the summer months when the town's football and rugby teams are on holiday. Initially based at Meadowmill, we now call Polwarth Oval at Preston road by the Mercat Gait  swimming centre. With each passing year the club grew from strength to strength and now fields a:

1st XI League Side = ESCA Division 4 (45 over league)
T20 Cup Side = All ESCA cup competitions (20 over)
Social Side = Friendlies (20 or 40 over games)

The club is in the process of rebuilding it's junior section which comprises of a Kwik Cricket after school club for primary school children, run in conjunction with youth development officer's coaching sessions at the local primary schools.

Away from the cricket side, the club regularly engages in social activities for both members and non-members at varying establishments around Prestonpans.
